Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

THIS POST IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 12 MONTHS TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ward clerical assistant to join the Mental Health Services for Older People administration team to support our inpatients team. This will be a fixed term contact to cover maternity leave.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, self motivated and enjoys working as part of a busy team.
The position of ward clerical assistant requires good computer skills, although training of specific systems (PARIS) will be given, computer literacy is essential.
We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting new people and has excellent communication skills, and has the ability to prioritise their own workload and work well in a multi-disciplinary team.
The hours are 20 hours a week, which will need to be worked over 4-5 working days (Mon-Fri).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Welsh language skills are desirable
