Head of Digital Transformation
CAV UHB are seeking to appoint a Head of Digital Transformation to its Digital Health and Intelligence Directorate.
This is a key position within the team and will play a major part in the delivery of our digital transformation at an exciting time when the organisation is launching its Digital Strategy and developing an ambitious Digital Road Map, supported by:
- The Patient Channel programme
- The Clinicians Channel Programme
- The Analyst and platform Channel Programme
- The Capabilities Channel Programme
This post will play key role in shaping CAV Digital Services in the post COVID era.
CAV has an infrastructure digital footprint including:
- An In house developed pervasive Patient Management System (PMS) covering all acute services
- A comprehensive Mental Health and Community System EPR
- A Health Board wide Clinical Portal
- A pervasive BI System
- A developing Local and National Data Repository (LDR and NDR)
- Over 13,000 access devices
- One of the biggest networks in Wales
- Over 350 servers in 4 data centres
- Over 100 applications
The successful candidate will provide the technical and managerial leadership for the following areas within Digital Transformation:
- The Development Team
- Integration Team
- Application team
- Digital and Clinical system support
- Training and Implementation
- Operational Analysis
Applicants should have extensive technical and IT service delivery experience in the above areas. This technical experience will help the successful candidate to lead on Digital Transformation providing the best digital solutions to the organisation.
The applicant will be responsible for defining the full Technical Digital / Clinical Systems Architectural strategy and roadmap for the Health Board so that digitally enabled high quality care can be delivered. Additionally the post holder will be responsible for developing the vision, governance and leading on overseeing adherence to the architecture strategy and framework. As a key member of the Digital Management Team they will provide digital solutions/technical applications advice and support to the directorate.
The Head of Digital Service Transformation will lead the technical development and service management of digital and clinical IT systems and applications locally to support the delivery of Health Board’s digital strategy and clinical service strategy.
We are looking for someone whose interest in technology means they keep abreast of emerging technologies and can visualise their use in the modern NHS.
In the delivery of our digital services, we contract services from a range of commercial suppliers. The successful candidate will have experience in negotiating and managing relationships with commercial partners.
This high profile role will report to the Assistant Director of IT (Deputy Director).
