Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic persons with a flexible approach to work, to join our Catering Services team within Facilities at the University Hospital Llandough including the Hafan y Coed Unit.
The vacancy is a permanent and various hours available

Any five from seven shifts.
Candidates must possess a current food hygiene certification, have good customer care skills and be able to work on their own initiative or as part of a team. Knowledge of catering within a hospital environment, COSHH, health & safety and infection control would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will need to have the ability to adapt to an ever changing health care environment. You will need to be organised and have experience of working in a busy service where you would be required to prioritise workloads according to schedules and service needs.
There are development opportunities for people with good organisational and communication skills and a good knowledge of delivering a quality service to patients, relatives and members of staff.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Welsh language skills are desirable
