Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

We are looking for a reliable, organised, adaptable and friendly person to join our district nursing team at Cowbridge Health Centre, to provide administrative support. The district nursing team visit housebound patients at home. The patients are registered with three different GP practices in the Cowbridge and Vale area.
You will have experience of working in an office environment and have proficient IT skills including Excel spread sheets and Power Point. You will be an important part of the team, able to work under pressure and although supported by the District Nursing Sister and / or her Deputies, be able to work without direct supervision. An ability to organise systems of work is essential.
Candidates must be a team player, of smart appearance, have a pleasant and confident personality, excellent written and verbal communication skills and an awareness of and commitment to customer care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Welsh language skills are desirable
