An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated part time Sedation Qualified Dental Nurse to join the Community Dental Service.  The Community Dental Service deliver services across Cardiff and Vale, including fixed clinics, domiciliary visits, mobile dental units and HMP. The service works closely with the Designed to Smile team and Emergency Dental Service. 
This is a Permanent post for 7.5 hours per week, you will be required to work across various sites within the Community Dental Service. 
 You should have extensive experience as a Sedation Trained Dental Nurse, good communication and interpersonal skills along with an ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. We are looking for a dynamic individual who prides in delivering high quality care and shares the vision of this service.
You will work closely with the Dental Nurse Manager and work in collaboration with Senior Dental Nurses including IPC, Health and Safety and Radiography, to ensure a high quality of care is provided across the service, to the most vulnerable patient groups including Physical disabilities, learning difficulties, mental health problems, medically compromised, psycho geriatric conditions, dental phobia’s, Homeless and those with language, behavioural and social barriers. 
The successful candidate will have the responsibility for the coordination of the mobile dental unit complying with the Health Boards policies and procedures and ensuring compliance to IR(ME)R and WHTM01-05, to ensure an effective and efficient service is provided.

Must be able to work independently and have responsibility for own actions when delivering Dental Nursing care.
