Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Nurse to join our Tissue Viability team. With experience of being in a current Tissue Viability link role or experience of working in a Tissue Viability service, this post utilises existing knowledge and skills to provide advice and support in this specialist area of practice.

Reporting to the Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist for Tissue Viability, the Specialist Nurse will work under their direction and supervision to provide cost effective and evidence based wound care.

The post holder will deliver clinical advice and support to staff for patients with wounds and skin related conditions as well as delivering the pressure ulcer prevention action plan.

They will provide education and training for staff on all aspects of Tissue Viability practice and facilitate the development of the Tissue Viability Link practitioners.

This is a Part-time post working 21 hours per week. Monday to Friday

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
