We are recruiting full-time and part- time Band 5 Ward Staff Nurses to join the Short Stay Surgical Unit situated in the University Hospital of Wales.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our team .
Short Stay Surgical Unit is part of the Protected Elective Surgical Unit and provides facilities for day , overnight and longer stay patients. We have our own dedicated Theatre Suite which houses a Da Vinci Robot . This innovative Robotic approach to Surgery is currently used for Urological and ENT procedures. We are also responsible for the Out-Patient Ophthalomology Theatre and provide Pre and Post operative care for patients' undergoing routine or emergency eye surgery.
The successful individuals will work with a friendly and supportive team delivering the highest standard of pre and post operative care to patients across a broad spectrum of surgical specialities.This is a very busy dynamic unit and you will need to be dedicated, hard working and flexible . An interest in nurse led discharge is essential .
