Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

Short Stay Surgical Unit are pleased to offer 2 HCSW full-time posts.
1 full-time permanent post and 1 full-time fixed term to cover maternity leave until 31-10-2021.
We provide pre and post operative care to elective surgical patients in a busy and dynamic department .
SSSU ward team is friendly and supportive and welcomes applications from those with proven HCSW experience.
A commitment to flexible working is encouraged .
Successful candidates will receive comprehensive support and training both ward based and from the peri-operative education team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
