An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 6 Prosthetist at the NHS prosthetic service based in Rookwood Hospital, Cardiff. The prosthetic team currently consists of 8 Prosthetists and 11 technical staff offering a clinical service to a large and varied caseload supported by a full multidisciplinary team.

The prosthetic service in Cardiff caters for approximately 1700 users. The service provides individualised assessment, the issue, maintenance and repair of prosthetic devices and ongoing clinical patient care.

The multidisciplinary team consist of consultants, prosthetists, psychologists, physiotherapists, specialist nurses, occupational therapist and admin support, all working together in a patient focussed service. The prosthetic clinical service is supported by onsite manufacture by a highly skilled technical workforce.

The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local training to develop their skills to support the service.
