Advert – UHW Research Nurse

Funding provided by Health and Care Research Wales supports NHS Research and Delivery (R&D) Departments led by a R&D Director to provide local services for research support and facilitates the sponsoring and hosting of studies within UHB’s across Wales.   Part of this service includes a NHS research delivery team consisting of Research Nurses, Clinical Studies Officers, Research Officers and Administrators, employed by NHS organisations to support the delivery of high quality health and social care studies.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cardiff and Vale University R&D for a Research Nurse to become part of the research delivery team supporting research in Cardiff and Vale.

We are seeking to employ a band 6 Registered Nurse with either Research experience and/or extensive vascular clinical experience with an interest in research.  The post holder will contribute to the assessment and management of the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical trials. This will include the recruitment, education, monitoring of trial patients, the collection and documentation of accurate data.

The post holder will be based at the University Hospital of Wales and will initially be employed to support the new regional vascular service for SE Wales.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
