This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the new Cardiff Joint Research Office (Cardiff JRO)- a collaboration between Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and Cardiff University.  The Vision Statement for the Cardiff JRO is to create an environment where we are able to improve the health and well-being of the people in Wales and beyond through research excellence. The Cardiff JRO has been newly refurbished to a high standard, creating a very pleasant working environment. 

Research Management and Governance (RM&G) is an essential requirement for the conduct of research and the Deputy R&D Manager will be responsible for assisting the R&D Manager in the provision of a comprehensive, high quality R&D management and governance service. This will involve taking the lead on the monitoring of the service and any barriers to its success. Performance Management and Quality Improvement will be a significant part of this role. The post holder will need to manage R&D office initiatives within a wide range of projects. The post holder will be a key member of the Cardiff JRO  Senior Management Team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
