The Medical Physics Department at University Hospital of Wales is looking for a Radiopharmacy Production Technician.
The Radiopharmacy is located at the University Hospital Wales Heath site and supplies seven NHS Trusts with Radiopharmaceuticals. Around 13,000 ready to use radiopharmaceutical injections are supplied on an annual basis.
A new radiopharmacy facility is on the horizon so the successful candidate would be joining at an exciting time as we look to develop a new facility to enable us to expand the services including research and therapies.
The successful candidate will work within a team of dedicated Radiopharmacy professionals who deliver an excellent service to our patients and external customers. The team ensure that quality standards are met by following Good Manufacturing Practise and effective utilisation of our Quality Management Systems.
The Radiopharmacy Technician role is a critical role helping to prepare safe and effective radiopharmaceuticals to all our customers and patients. We welcome applications from candidates keen to develop their skills and help deliver a key service to our patients and customers.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Welsh language skills are desirable
