This post is a development opportunity for a highly motivated Research Radiographer Band 6 level. Candidates should have some research experience and be educated as a minimum to degree level .
The post-holder will design and carry out their own research while supporting concurrent research studies from research colleagues within the directorate. They will require to providing effective, caring and compassionate services to patients who are participating in clinical research studies. The post holder is expected to complete procedures and investigations according to study protocol as well as Health Board and local policies.
The area of research can be suggested by the candidate but must align with diagnostic imaging and improving professional practice/ efficacy of radiological examinations and or patient care. The post is not site specific, being aligned to the availability of the imaging modality, research support and other researchers.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team in the co-ordination of clinical studies and ensure that local, national and international research regulations are adhered to with an express commitment to abide by the NHS values and the Constitution.
The healthboard is situated 5 minutes drive from Cardiff Bay and 10 minutes from Cardiff City centre. Both have a young and vibrant nightlife with a range of restaurants and clubs. The hospital is also well positioned for access to the Gower Peninsular with its award winning beaches and the Brecon Beacons National park.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
