An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technician in the Distribution team at SMPU. We are a regulated manufacturing unit with MS, MIA(IMP) and WL licences. We are a busy unit and provide a variety of services to our local hospital and other NHS units around the UK. 

Are you organised, efficient, responsive and fast thinking ? Do who understand the importance in providing an efficient service to ensure customers and patients receive their orders?  If the answer is yes, then this may be the role for you!  We want an enthusiastic individual who can motivate and lead their team to provide the best possible service.

You will be responsible for a team of technicians and ATO's.  You will also be involved in the co-ordination of the documentation to prepare batches and items for processing, as well as helping co-ordinate the smooth running with the scheduling of batches.

You will require great communication & interpersonal skills, as you will be working within a multi-professional environment across the Trust. You will  need to have knowledge and experience in team leadership, IT (including EDS and WellSky), stock control, financial and statistical information, and knowledge of the impact of falsified medication directive on pharmacy.
