The Emergency & Acute Medicine Directorate is looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 nurses to come and join our team within the Emergency & Acute Medicine Directorate.

As the only Major Trauma Centre in Wales, the Emergency & Acute Medicine Directorate sees in excess of 145,000 patients per annum across all departments and is one of the busiest Emergency Units in the UK.  The Emergency & Acute Medicine Directorate consists of the Adult and Paediatric Emergency Unit, Assessment Unit at University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and the Medical Emergency Admissions Unit at University Hospital Llandough (UHL). The successful post holder will be given the opportunity to develop their nursing skills and experience in all these areas within the Directorate.  The Emergency Care environments are challenging but rewarding environments with opportunities to develop and extend the knowledge and skills required to care for adult and paediatric patients with a wide range of surgical, medical and trauma conditions. As a Band 5 nurse you will rotate between all the 3 departments within this Directorate. To enhance your learning you will be supported by a practice development team. You will be actively encouraged to undertake further study to enhance your knowledge and skills in this interesting and fulfilling environment. If you welcome the opportunity to provide excellent patient care in a challenging and rewarding environment then this opportunity is for you.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
