An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Medical Workforce Officer post to join our friendly team in the Medical Workforce Department based at Woodland House to commence as soon as possible. The post is full-time, working 37½ hours per week.
The post holder will work with colleagues to support a broad range of medical workforce duties including monitoring of junior doctors' working hours and rota development, administrative support for appraisal and revalidation of medical staff, as well as providing support to the recruitment of medical staff across the Health Board.

The appointee will be required to attend occasional interviews and meetings and will also provide routine advice and guidance to doctors and managers on a range of medical workforce issues as appropriate.

The successful applicant will have excellent administrative, processing and organisation skills in order to maintain up-to-date accurate workforce information records and must be able to work effectively as part of a team and on their own initiative.

Previous experience within a busy office environment and good computer literacy using a range of IT packages (Word, Excel, e-mail, spreadsheets) is essential. Whilst previous experience of medical personnel, recruitment and/or human resources would be an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
