Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

An exciting opprtunity exists for a dedicated and experienced conservation technician to work within this highly motivated team, providing technical and teaching support to all clinical staff, junior technicians, undergraduates and postgraduate students. Conservation experience is essential as is the use of cad/cam systems.
The successful candidate will be expected to hold a minimum qualification at BSc level or equivalent and an MSc or equivalent. NHS hospital experience is essential ideally in a teaching hospital. The successful candidate may be required to work in a satellite dental laboratory.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
