Cardiff & Vale University Health Board Primary Care Dental Practice Advisor.

Are you an enthusiastic, innovative, self-motivated dentist who is concerned with maintaining, improving, and advising upon the delivery of general dental services (GDS) in Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan in line with national and local policy and targets? If so, we would like to hear from you.

Cardiff & Vale UHB serves a population of around 520,000 with an annual primary care dental budget in excess of £28m and contracts with over 68 GDP practices. This role is key to the delivery of high quality, safety and effective patient care and to support continuous service improvement. In this role, you will be responsible to the Head of Primary Care services and the Clinical Director for Primary Care Clinical Governance. You will work within a primary care team, supporting the areas of quality, safety, governance, performance and clusters and you will be a key advisor providing expertise and advice on good practice.

You will be employed on Cardiff and Vale UHB terms and conditions working in a multi-disciplinary team, with opportunities for training, development and CPD.

Your hours of work will be two sessions (4 hours per session) per week. The post is available on a permanent basis. Rate of Pay: £10,692 per session.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Welsh language skills are desirable
