Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

The Communications and Engagement Team has a new and exciting opportunity to recruit a Communications and Engagement Manager to lead on the Reset and Recovery programme of work. The post holder will work with the Head of Communications and Engagement to develop and implement a programme of communications activity supporting Clinical Boards and Reset and Recovery Team. The programme will include internal and external engagement, marketing and advertising, media relations and digital communications to update all stakeholders on the work of the UHB.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Welsh language skills are desirable
