Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Senior Nurse Leader with the knowledge and experience to provide strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and delivery to the CD&T Clinical Board.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of expert professional and clinical advice and leadership to diverse services across the Clinical Board with a particular focus on providing assurance and delivering improvement, the delivery of regulatory and accreditation compliance and the development and delivery of the patient experience framework.
The post holder will provide expert professional support and advice to the Clinical Board Director for Quality, Safety and Patient Experience in relation to safe, effective and person-centred care, fostering a just and compassionate culture which values continuing professional development, ensures staff and patients are listened to and allows learning to be put into practice.
As a member of the senior CD&T Team, the post requires a proven track record in delivering improvement, leading and delivering change, the ability to demonstrate a high level of competence in professional leadership, and people management skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
