Band 6: Cardiothoracic Surgery Dietitian
Applications are invited for a permanent full time Band 6 position within the Cardiff and Vale UHB Dietetic Team. The post holder will provide a comprehensive dietetic service to cardiothoracic surgery. The role incorporates pre-asessment, management of the dietetic element of the enhanced recovery pathway and post discharge care as required. Opportunities exist to cover into other specialties and develop skills and experience outside of core clinical area.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a practical, forward thinking approach to service development and evaluation and the ability to work in a team. Previous clinical experience of oncology, surgery or respiratory care is desirable. Applicants should have acute clinical experience.
You will work within a friendly and highly skilled department and have numerous opportunities for professional and personal development. You will be actively involved in the research, audit and the Quality and Safety agenda of the department and UHB. The service is a major provider of pre-registration dietetic education and the successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of training and education.
