A rare opportunity has arisen for you to join our Cardio-thoracic team within Cardiff and Vale UHB.

 Our tertiary unit delivers cardio-thoracic surgery and cardiology services across 2 sites. Cardio-thoracic surgery is currently located within our protected surgical unit at UHL and coronary care, interventional cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation are based within UHW. Multi- disciplinary links are strong, physiotherapy has a high profile and valued role within this progressive unit.

If you are interested you will need proven clinical skills in acute respiratory care and cardiac rehabilitation alongside strong communication and organisational ability. You will have the opportunity to develop these skills further with the guidance of our Clinical Leads.

You will provide clinical supervision to physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and physiotherapy support workers.

The Department of Physiotherapy provides full induction, a comprehensive in service training programme, regular appraisal and opportunities for development in line with our values based appraisal scheme.

You will be required to work your contracted hours flexibly over 7 days which will include unsocial hours as well as committing to an emergency duty rota when required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
